Why the Jews Kept Day of Atonement on the Wrong Day
đ Yom Kippur, Judaism, and the Hillel II Calendar...
Grace and Peace to you,
It seems that many people were very confused about the Jewish Calendar versus the Godâs Calendar (in the Bible) this yearâparticularly around Yom Kippurâ, and itâs perfectly understandable.
For the first time in many years, the Hillel Calendar of Judaism actually began the first month at almost the exact time as the true, biblical calendar. The sighting of the first crescent new moon was confirmed on Sunday Evening, March 30, 2025, and this was the exact beginning of the year. In other words, March 30th was the first evening, and March 31st was the first day. A Hebrew day is from evening to evening, of course. However, even back then the adherents of Judaism declared the evening of March 29th to be the first evening, and therefore March 30th was the first day. This mistake, of course, led to the observance of Passover a day too early. Moving into the 7th month, the mistake of declaring the first day of the month, or Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets), too early was continued, but this time out of necessity. Let me explain.
First, this issue of the Hillel Calendar of Judaism was a major topic in my very last video having to do with a judgment prophecy specifically tied to the Day of Atonement. Go check it out here:
You see, the Jews have invented a set of rules that are not found in the Bible. Not only is the Hillel Calendar of Judaism a 4th-century invention that Jesus Christ Himself did not follow, but this false calendar has been arranged so that Yom Kippur does not fall on a Friday or Sunday. These rules have been invented because Shabbat restrictions also apply to Yom Kippur, and if Yom Kippur were to fall on Friday, it would not be possible to make what Judaism deems as ânecessary preparationsâ for Shabbat, including candle lighting, because the preceding day is Yom Kippur. Likewise then, if Yom Kippur fell on a Sunday, it would not be possible to make the ânecessary preparationsâ for Yom Kippur, including candle lighting, because the preceding day is Shabbat.
Because of these man-made rules, Yom Kippur cannot fall on a Friday or Sunday. In order to guarantee that this doesnât happen, Judaism has arranged their pre-calculated and pre-determined calendar so that their âRosh Hashanahâ, which falls on 1 Tishrei for the Jews, does not fall on a Wednesday or Friday. The basis of these traditions of Judaism can be found in the Talmud, Rosh Hashanah 20b, and Sukkah 43b.*
In contrast, the biblical calendar is quite different. The beginning of the year, or Rosh Hashanah, occurs during the month of Abib (which the Jews call Nissan), and it takes place during the âgreen ears of barleyâ which is literally what the word Abib means (see Exodus 13:4 and Strongâs H24). The beginning of the months occurs with a ârenewalâ of the moon. Judaism uses the conjunction, or dark moon, to determine the beginnings of its months according to the Hillel system. But, the ârenewalâ of the light, as the Hebrew language of the Bible reveals, only happens with the appearance of a crescent new moon. Once the first sliver of the moon is sighted, then that is when the light is ârenewedâ to begin the month.
Because of these major differences between the true, biblical calendar and the calendar of Judaism, the correct Day of Atonement was from October 2-3, evening to evening, while the Jews falsely declared this day to be from October 1-2, evening to evening. Now, there is a specific prophecy located in Isaiah 22 dealing with the sin of the Jewish people as it specifically pertains to ignoring the Day of Atonement. This prophecy could happen at any time in the future due to the fact that it is extremely improbable that Judaism will ever observe the Day of Atonement on the correct day. Like I said, not only have they added too many extra-biblical rules, but their calendar is normally a month or two late from the correct agricultural time clock of God (versus only a day late, as was the case this year). However, there are many reasons to believe that this Hebrew winter will be the year that Isaiahâs âarchers of Elamâ prophecy is finally fulfilled. I once again invite you to check out my full analysis so that you can walk wisely into the chaotic future that lies ahead:
Thatâs all I have for now. If this article has benefitted you (even in a small way), please share and spread the word. Spread the truth! People deserve to be set free from the traditions of men and chains of darkness.
Your brother in this fight,
Abraham O.
