About the Overcome Babylon Team
Abraham was introduced to the gospel through the Calvary Chapel church network and graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences. After being an analytical chemist and living a fast-paced city life for a few years, God gave him a paradigm shift one day. Being a lifelong student of Bible prophecy led him along an interesting and unusual journey that involved pursuing a second four-year degree in Horticulture, or the art and science of growing plants. Together with Kim, he left city living in 2018 to go off grid and build their first homestead at 9,000 ft elevation in the Rocky Mountains. He now raises a few breeds of sheep and goats while growing fruits and vegetables year-round on the homestead.
Kim was born and raised in the teachings of the Latter-Day Saints and even attended the Salt Lake Temple in order to carry out the required ceremonies and practices of the Mormon faith. After 32 years of involvement in the church and feeling empty within its religious system, she left Mormonism with no clear path or faith forward. Just two years later, she experienced a life-altering encounter with Christ while attending a Christian evangelical congregation and hearing the message of God’s grace and the gospel for the very first time. Having felt cheated and led astray for so many years, Kim decided to seriously study the Bible for herself from that point onward. She currently attends New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where she is earning her Master’s in Divinity.
Statement of Faith

The goal here is to return to the ancient path of the Bible—the same Way that Jesus himself demonstrated during his earthly ministry. Some call it Orthodox Christianity; others call it a Messianic Faith of sorts. We don’t care much for labels, but we also aren’t afraid to declare our beliefs front and center for you to examine:
