My Three-Step Framework to Get Ready for When Disaster Strikes
WWIII is about to usher in the most hostile environment humanity has ever faced.
For several months now, I have taken a step back from regularly publishing videos and podcasts to Overcome Babylon, even in the midst of some of the most monumental news cycles we have seen in our lifetime. There is a good reason for this, as I will explain in a moment. If you have been following my work since 2022, you will know that everything I had been warning about regarding Iran, Russia, China, and the other key BRICS countries is now unfolding. The West is going to suffer a historic and catastrophic defeat during the upcoming events of World War III, and we are only now seeing the beginning of the end of the western zionist empire and its core group of billionaire oligarchs. The BRICS alliance will become the dominant geopolitical force once the West is defeated, and this new world order will only be possible in the aftermath of a coming nuclear war.
This specific disaster scenario has been foretold within numerous ancient prophecies of the Bible, as I have explained in my other works. More specifically, my book Bible Prophecy Secrets uncovers numerous Scriptures pertaining to nuclear war together with the general timing of when we are to expect this disaster to unfold. The ongoing Iran and Israel war that restarted on February 28, 2026 is directly connected, and the time to get prepared is running out. For more information about nuclear warfare in the Bible and exactly how it is described, I encourage you to get Bible Prophecy Secrets where all of this information is presented step by step. Get ready, and prepare for the last days with confidence:
Now, the reason I have been a little quiet lately is because I have been reflecting a lot on what people need to do so they can actually be ready for the upcoming geopolitical upheaval.
Before the U.S. dollar collapses, the supply chain is gone, and major cities turn into war-torn territories run by marauding groups of criminals, what should people do to prepare?
Knowing and understanding this future can be a burden. It is a burden because the vast majority of people are dead asleep and don’t see it coming. It is also a burden because I want to do my part to ensure that God’s people have a realistic shot at being ready to face this chaos. I want to make sure that I am able to pass along the past 8 years of off-grid life experience to those whom it may benefit. Even if one person survives what’s coming as a result of my work, then the effort is entirely worth it.
That is why I have spent considerable time and effort into writing my new book, When Disaster Strikes: Essential Bug-Out Preparation for Surviving a Crisis.
As you can see, this book is all about preparedness.
On the right: that’s me with one of my 40 lb bug out bags standing next to the Colorado River. One of the most important aspects of preparedness is Implementation, whereby you practice rucking and basic survival skills regularly to keep your mind, body, and skills sharp.
I’ve mentioned this before, but preparedness is the act of acquiring and using assets that act as a hedge to increase resilience and survivability in both short and long-term disaster scenarios. Nuclear war, megathrust earthquakes, hurricanes, biological warfare—no matter what crisis you might face in the future, the principles I describe apply to them all. Of course, special attention will be given to worldwide nuclear war. In light of this particular disaster, there are three things you need to know to be ready. I promise you that if you take these three things to heart, meditate on them, and then actively practice preparedness in light of these things, then you will be infinitely better off than you were beforehand. You will have a real shot at surviving what’s coming. These three things are:
Mindset
Gear
Implementation
These are also the three divisions of my new book. The first part examines and applies core spiritual principles using a combination of ethics, faith, and logic in order to walk righteously in the event of a disaster. The second part will catalog a list of essential gear that is useful for both short and long-term survival scenarios, with a strong emphasis on the latter. The final part will present an overall strategy to practice and implement a bug out plan, including incorporating preparedness into your everyday life. Key lifestyle factors will be addressed, and ideas will be presented for transitioning from a reactionary bug-out plan (high risk) to a more ideal bug-in plan (lowest risk).
In other words, the focus of my book is to be prepared for a bug-out scenario that requires immediate evacuation from a location, rather than a bug-in scenario of sheltering in place. The former is the scenario that applies to the vast majority of people since, for example, roughly 80% of the United States population lives in urban environments according to 2020 Census Bureau data. Statistics vary, but this percentage remains especially true in Europe and many other countries worldwide.
Beware.
A high population density is your worst enemy when it comes to preparedness and survival. Just look at the nightly news and watch what happens whenever a riot breaks out or civil unrest ensues in an urban environment. Things get ugly in a hurry. Now take that reality and multiply it by a hundred. That’s what life will look like in a true disaster scenario where police and military become so overwhelmed that they stop doing their jobs and instead tend to their own families. We haven’t seen anything quite like that before, at least in the United States, but with nuclear world war around the horizon, it’s best to plan accordingly.
So, if you find yourself in the 80% majority or if you’re simply within reasonable driving distance of a medium-to-large size city or metropolitan area, having a bug-out plan in place is just not optional. It is absolutely essential. My new book will help you formulate a plan from both a spiritual and physical perspective that addresses the mind, body, and soul. But also keep in mind that the majority of preparedness is preventative. The ideal situation is to already be situated in a safe location, away from urban environments and any primary or secondary military targets during a nuclear war. If that is not possible due to current work or other obligations, then understand that you will face a less than ideal scenario. Again: it is not ideal whatsoever to be in or around an urban environment when full-scale WWIII breaks out. The information I present, though useful for anyone, is for preparation for such circumstances. Traditional bug-out bag philosophy will be compared to that of the INCH bag, but long-term survival without a precise safe destination will be the focus of my book. All these things will be further explained in the Gear section of my guide, but let’s first focus on Mindset.
Because your mindset is the most foundational aspect of survival and preparedness, I want to take a moment to address it here. Most people are already utterly defeated, even before a disaster has occurred; and I want to help you avoid the common pitfalls people are sleepwalking into.
As with everything in life, preparedness is a deeply spiritual concept. The vast majority of preppers out there ignore this fundamental reality, which is why many have set themselves up for failure. Preparedness begins in the heart, soul, and mind. If fear, anxiety, and panic fuel your decision-making processes going into the topic of preparedness, then it’s best to completely reassess your priorities.
Slow down.
A distracted, hurried mind isn’t simply a playground for the devil. It really is the devil. Accumulation (read: hoarding) and pride are often the primary motivating forces behind the decisions that most members of the preparedness community embrace, whether consciously or subconsciously.
Do this, do that.
Learn, learn, learn.
Push yourself to the limit.
The best time to prepare for doomsday was yesterday; the second best time is today!
There is a tremendous sense of hurry in the heart of preppers today. They pride themselves on some new 17-in-one survival gadget from Amazon they are learning to use or the fact that they wired and built their own off-grid solar system for pennies on the dollar using electric car batteries salvaged from a nearby junkyard. All the bragging is just an attempt to cover up the underlying anxiety. Insecurity.
The spirit that is often celebrated by preppers is survival for survival’s sake, boasting about each accomplishment on the road to “self” sufficiency. This mindset laced with selfism is a form of the same old prosperity gospel mentality in evangelical Christian circles. Different communities, same lie:
“You can experience the good life and prosperity without God’s instructions.”
This road only leads to misery and death.
As followers of Christ, a radically different approach is not only needed but necessary for experiencing the shalom (peace) of God in the midst of tribulation. God intends for his people to experience rest even in the midst of the inevitable disasters that life brings our way. Just go back in time to the first century and see for yourself. If you take a good, hard look at the life of Jesus, he was rarely ever in a hurry. He was a highly intentional, intensely present, and deeply thoughtful person that lived in the moment. As his disciples, we must follow suit. That is why preparedness should instead come from a place of love—a love for God, our own household, and his people. So perfectly fitting are the words of the apostle John in this context when he says:
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” - 1John 4:18
Rather than living in the torment of fear—that is to say, fixation on scenarios of danger that seem imminent and threatening but are indeed imaginary—it is time to approach preparedness with genuine concern mingled with love. It is fine to be concerned with the future and do something about it, but fear is the enemy of the peace God intended for you to experience. That is why heart, soul, and mind are the first essential components that you need to address. These must be renewed, or regenerated, by the power of the Holy Spirit, nourished by the Word of God, and guided daily by the voice of the Father through prayer. Think of preparedness as a vehicle for discipleship between you and God, and you will naturally experience freedom from the noise and worry that continually plagues the prepper community.
Of course, that’s just half of the cultural battle.
Having your heart, soul, and mind spiritually grounded and operating from a place of fearlessness also means that you must actively guard yourself against the opposite of preparedness, which is idleness. This is the mindset that has overtaken the vast majority of society as a whole.
The Preparedness Pendulum: Your heart is like a weight suspended from a string and attached to a pivot point where it can swing freely. In this pendulum of preparedness, the world will try to swing you too far to the left, into idleness, and too far to the right, into fear. Having been a prepper now since 2015, I can tell you that an undisciplined heart will swing in both directions far too often. God wants us to be at equilibrium right in the middle where we are at rest in him and not moved to any extreme.
While preppers are typically consumed with fear, everyone else is consumed with a combination of passivity, nihilism, and fatalism. All three are core components of idleness, so it’s important to take a moment to define them. Passivity is a state of mind that accepts whatever happens in life without making a serious effort to take personal responsibility. Nihilism comes from the Latin word nihil meaning ‘nothing’. This worldview presumes that life is inherently meaningless, so there’s really no moral obligation or higher calling to take proactive measures to preserve life. Fatalism is a worldview that submits itself to the understanding that all of life’s events are somehow predetermined, and therefore any outcomes, good or bad, are inevitable. The idea is that there is nothing you really can do to prepare, so why bother? In each and every case, there is no active response or resistance. This is the essence of idleness. …
This section on mindset was a brief excerpt from my upcoming book, When Disaster Strikes. I had first announced this book about a year ago, and I mentioned that anyone who purchased Bible Prophecy Secrets through the official page (not Amazon) beginning on March 1, 2025 would be eligible to receive a free PDF download. With launch of this book before the end of this month, I am happy to announce that the wait is almost over. Make sure you are subscribed and enter in your email in order to be notified of when the new book is available. I will be making a separate announcement soon, and show you the three ways to get the book.
Till then, take what I have shared with you to heart. Time is of the essence.

PS: Why are you still going to the grocery store to get your fresh greens? Spring is here, and there are so many foraging options for edible mustard greens, lettuces, legumes, and thistles right in your backyard. Check out this wild prickly lettuce I found below:
This wild lettuce (Lactuca serriola) is a very beginner-friendly plant to forage because there are no poisonous lookalikes. This is not true of other wild edibles like carrot or onion. In North America, there are about 12 species of wild lettuce. The prickly lettuce pictured above is easy to identify because it has a triangular midrib on the underside of the leaf with fine spines running down the center (you can barely see these in my second photo, but they are there if you zoom in). The only problem with these is bitterness. You want to harvest them in the right growth phase. Look for carpet of prickly lettuce like this one, when they are small and close together fighting for space. They don’t get overly big quickly, they stay small longer, and they don’t get bitter as a result. In other words, baby lettuce greens are the way to go.
Foraging is just one subject that is covered in my upcoming book, When Disaster Strikes. Don’t forget to subscribe so you can be notified the moment that this book becomes available:

Am I a strange follower of Jesus Christ to say that I do not seek to survive?
I seek to serve. Should it be God’s will for me to serve MORE, I will survive.
I do not seek to eat, I seek to feed. I do not seek to find ways to hide from my government, I seek to tell anyone and everyone of Jesus Christ and of his saving grace and mercy to those who repent. (May all in Caesars house come to find mercy at the Cross.)
If I have it, I will give it. This I VOW - and Jesus already knows this.
I may stand in miraculous times - where survival should have been impossible or I will go home.
I will stand in a furnace, should God see to it.
And he will provide all my needs according to his riches in glory. After all, my NEED is HIM - and that is the true promise I seek to find.
Paul said it best:
Philippians 1:20-24
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. 25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; 26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.
