Am I a strange follower of Jesus Christ to say that I do not seek to survive?

I seek to serve. Should it be God’s will for me to serve MORE, I will survive.

I do not seek to eat, I seek to feed. I do not seek to find ways to hide from my government, I seek to tell anyone and everyone of Jesus Christ and of his saving grace and mercy to those who repent. (May all in Caesars house come to find mercy at the Cross.)

If I have it, I will give it. This I VOW - and Jesus already knows this.

I may stand in miraculous times - where survival should have been impossible or I will go home.

I will stand in a furnace, should God see to it.

And he will provide all my needs according to his riches in glory. After all, my NEED is HIM - and that is the true promise I seek to find.

Paul said it best:

Philippians 1:20-24

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. 25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; 26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

The Torah states to “choose life” repeatedly. Many of the principles, practices, and “survival” tools I present are all things that were a common way of life from ancient times till the Industrial Revolution. I think I understand your heart, but also be careful not to over-spiritualize the reality of how modern convenience and technology have dumbed people down and disconnected them from the way of life once embraced by all of humanity for 1000s of years. God bless you

God gives signs for people to save others and themselves. You can accept or ignore.

I can see what you mean here. Although we are commanded to prepare. Joseph prepared and saved a whole region. Preparing is another way to serve others who did not, or were not able to, prepare.

Additionally, we will be thrust back to working the land. Yahweh begins mankind by placing Adam into the garden to keep it, and then gives him a wife to help him. After the fall, the command to work the land never ends, but that man would now work the land with thorns and thistles.

One must never forget the directive when manna came from the heavens. Each household was responsible for obtaining food for their family, not their neighbor. We can apply this very day, as after the Industrial Revolution, mankind left the land and paid someone else to work the land for them. Basically, escaping their God-given responsibility to work and steward the land.

You see, we were never meant to leave the land. We were never meant to pay someone to be responsible for feeding us. One must never eat the bread of idleness, and that is exactly what we get when we do not work the land ourselves.

So we can overspiritualize our relationship to the Father and not prepare, but one cannot really live out their true calling in life if they are depending on someone else for their sustenance. That is why we must prepare. We will all be forced back to the land where we always belonged. No longer depending on the bread of idleness but on what comes from our own hands.

Yes, many will not have the ability to go back to the land when the supply chain collapses, but those who are capable, this is your opportunity to really serve Yahweh. And that is by feeding the poor by our hands and the our understanding in survival.

I did not say I was not preparing, nor condemning that act.

Your conclusions seem to land in the same place as those who may condemn your preparations, which is not my place nor my job.

WHAT I prepare for is remarkably different and as a follower of Jesus Christ, I find the physical far LESS important than the spiritual.

How many Bibles are being scribed for the day when they are illegal? How many are memorizing scripture so that when one is dragged to court they have a way to speak as to where there is a hope.

THIS HOPE is missing while the people work to gather and the armies of the world await to sweep in and take all the wonderful supplies the people gathered.

First of all, when no one has the calories to survive, then what happens to their Bible does not matter. Secondly, I never mentioned hoarding food. I am talking about learning survival skills and growing your food. The armies of the world can take whatever they want, but they cannot take my skills. Also, did you not pay attention to the foraging section? You do not have to even grow everything; you just need to know what you are looking for. Again, the armies of the world can take whatever they want, but they will not be able to take the wild forage on your native landscape.
