Jerusalem will be judged in the coming end days.
Yes.
That seems a bit of a radical statement for some but let’s begin with this passage in Jeremiah 25:29-32.
29 For behold, I begin to work disaster at the city that is called by my name, and shall you go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, declares the Lord of hosts.’ 30 “You, therefore, shall prophesy against them all these words, and say to them: “ ‘The Lord will roar from on high, and from his holy habitation utter his voice; he will roar mightily against his fold, and shout, like those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. 31 The clamor will resound to the ends of the earth, for the Lord has an indictment against the nations; he is entering into judgment with all flesh, and the wicked he will put to the sword, declares the Lord.’ 32 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, disaster is going forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest is stirring from the farthest parts of the earth! These prophetic events spoken by Jeremiah have never happened yet. If you think this is a mistake, and have a historicist view on the coming judgement to Jerusalem then think about the times Jersualem has been judged in the past. When has there been a worldwide, nation-to-nation, all-flesh-included, judgement on this earth? The days of Noah, right? Jesus says in Matthew 24 that the Great Tribulation will be as the days of Noah. Thus, we can see Jeremiah is prophesying about a future event, even for us today.
The fact of the matter is that Jerusalem will be judged in the coming days and then a sword is coming to the nations. Similar to the previous articles, knowing who are end-times Judah and Israel is imperative for understanding prophecy and giving ourselves the ability to prepare ourselves spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Please listen to this verse-by-verse reading of Jeremiah 19 and ponder your thoughts on what Jeremiah was speaking about and when?
