The Ultimate Guide to Eclipses in Biblical Astronomy
Walking wisely into the future by discerning the solar and lunar eclipse signs of God.
After looking through hundreds of eclipses, both lunar and solar, and researching the meanings of numerous astronomical cycles throughout history, I am now comfortable enough to present the information in this article. What I will explain here is my simple framework for how to study eclipses within the field of biblical astronomy so that you can walk wisely into the future. I say wisely because sometimes eclipses are directly connected to natural disaster events, such as volcanic eruptions and massive earthquakes. They are also often connected to major wars. That being the case, not only do eclipses offer wisdom, but they are also mentioned directly in the Bible in various prophetic contexts. Understanding them will naturally allow you to experience a deeper appreciation for the Scriptures as you begin to apply the framework in this guide.

Whether you are completely new to this topic or have already been looking into it for a while, my sincere goal is for this information to serve as a massive shortcut in your journey. First, if you aren’t familiar with some of my findings in biblical astronomy, I want to point you to some of my latest work:
✍️ Four months ago, I published an article called “How Eclipses are Connected to the Rise & Fall of Nations.” (This information is also presented in Secret IV of my book, Bible Prophecy Secrets II.)
🎬 Last week, I went live on YouTube, Rumble, and X talking about “The Hidden 𐤀 Sign of the Exodus.”
🎬 Then just yesterday, I covered “THE SIGN of Sodom & Gomorrah” on a livestream.
Make sure to check those things out. Now, let’s get into this guide. I’ll also present an interesting case study about the Covid-19 pandemic at the end of this article where you can see my framework in action.
What is Biblical Astronomy, Exactly?
Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years...” - Gen. 1:14 NKJV [emphasis added]
Biblical astronomy is founded upon creation week in Genesis 1:14 and has consequently been a fundamental and ancient practice of God’s people since the dawn of time. The “lights in the firmament” are to serve as “signs” throughout all generations. More specifically, the greater light (the sun) is of utmost importance over the rest of creation when it comes to signs. The lesser light (the moon) is still important, but the order of creation must be followed. That is why I pay special attention to solar eclipses over lunar eclipses. Things like constellation positions or planetary alignments are then only considered after the first two are properly researched. Approached in this way, you will see how the celestial bodies have in themselves a supernatural messaging system, offering wisdom to all who learn its unique language.
Only in our modern-day context have people lost sight of the unlimited value of discerning the signs in the heavens. The Industrial Revolution is largely to blame and has caused people to become more disconnected than ever from an agrarian way of life—from the very language of creation itself.
In ancient times, civilizations would orient their entire agricultural practices around careful observation of the stars. For the Egyptians, astronomically predicting the Nile’s annual flooding for planting crops could mean the difference between abundance and lack.
These days, the only signs people pay attention to are highway billboards advertising 1,000-calorie “value meals” at the next drive-thru window.
How far we have fallen, indeed.
The bottom line is that we should absolutely be aware of the signs of the times. We shouldn’t be ignorant of what God is orchestrating because the celestial signs are truly His signs. They are loaded with information and visibly demonstrate God’s grace as He uses them to lead and guide his people like a shepherd navigates his flocks through a desert wilderness.
Now, I don’t know about you, but when I first started looking into this topic of biblical astronomy, I got a little overwhelmed by the information that tends to be broadcasted out there. Many pastors, rabbis, and social media influencers will declare things about an upcoming celestial event, like a blood moon, and get very passionate and authoritative, even when their ideas don’t agree with each other. People tend to speculate freely but then also get overly assertive and dogmatic about their views. Far too often, after you properly investigate someone’s reasoning, you find there is no clarity in their approach. Everything seems subjective; truth feels agnostic. Confusion becomes rampant.
Well, I have good news.
We can actually have a lot more methodology, science, and reasoning going into how we discern the signs in the in the celestial realm. The heavenly bodies offer us this kind of approach because of their cyclical and predictable nature. They are inherently mathematical, yet spiritual in consequence. The effects of these signs are exactly what got me seriously looking into this field of study several years ago now. To be more exact, I started noticing some interesting patterns after 2020 and the pandemic.
And more patterns.
And suddenly, even the finger of God became apparent on an economic and geopolitical scale like I had never considered before. It was as if God had been openly broadcasting the very things that he is orchestrating on the earth, but I was too distracted and irreverent for many years to really stop and notice.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m guilty.
But, as I’ll show you at the end of this article, the year 2020 changed everything for me. Before I show you what happened in the heavens that connects to the Covid-19 pandemic, though, I’m going to give you my three-step framework for understanding biblical astronomy.
Before I explain these steps, I want to be abundantly clear about something. I have mentioned this before, but what we are doing is not the same as pagan, superstitious astrology practices you may have heard of. We’re not trying to perform palm readings, candle-lighting rituals, heavenly body worship, or do other strange and forbidden pagan practices that are contrary to God’s Word. We are simply looking at what God is doing because they’re his signs, even though the enemy has done all he can to try and hijack the narrative.
With that out of the way, let’s get into this topic.
When you follow the three-step framework, you can truly understand what’s going on and not be in a state of constantly guessing or taking scripture verses out of context to fit weird narratives. You can just look at what’s going on, and you can match reality with what the Bible already declares.
How liberating and empowering is that?
It’s the way Christ intended it to be—a way of peace. Only the devil is the “author of confusion”, after all (see 1 Corinthians 14:33).
Step 1: Understanding The Locations
The first step is to carefully examine the locations where an eclipse event is going to be visible. I know this idea seems plainly obvious, but you do have to actually document and investigate the places that witness the sign. The actual names of locations themselves can be very significant, as you may have noticed in Bible Prophecy Secrets II. For a solar eclipse, examine locations in the path of totality from the country level all the way down to the county, city, and town. These places are always significant because it is rare for any specific location to be in the path of a solar eclipse. A given location might have to wait many decades to experience this phenomenon. On the other hand, lunar eclipses are visible to half the planet whenever they occur and do not have a specific path of totality. However, there is a central point of greatest eclipse visibility for lunar eclipses, and the locations with this highest visibility are always significant.
Also, when we’re talking about eclipses—whether it’s a solar or lunar eclipse, it makes no difference—there are other celestial events to consider within locations, such as concurrent comet sightings, entire meteor showers, planetary alignments, and even other eclipses. These things must also be factored in with respect to the locations investigated. Specific considerations may be given to the position and visibility of the constellations during these events.
There may also be specific seismic, volcanic, or other natural disaster events that need to be factored into a location’s analysis. These things are historical, yes, but they are also location specific.
Finally, the spiritual condition of a location must also be taken into account. On a larger geopolitical scale, many questions can be asked. Is the country in focus currently at war or facing social instability? What is the state of the nation or the region in terms of economics, health, or spirituality? Going down to the city or town level, different questions can be asked. Is there a generational curse in that location? What are some demonic strongholds, ancient pagan worship sites, or abominable practices that may exist there? What are the people like? Are they oppressed? Is there a systemic illness in that area or some other manifestation of evil, like violence, mass shootings, drug usage, or witchcraft? These are only some of the things, like puzzle pieces, that can all be put together to more clearly understand the intended message of an eclipse event.
Step 2: Matching Historical Patterns with Recent News
The next thing you have to investigate is the history of a given location so that an eclipse event has proper context. After some due diligence, patterns will emerge. The importance of patterns such as numerical, biblical, and prophetic should become evident with proper diligence. These historical patterns, once identified, must then be analyzed together with major recent news. These two categories need to be examined together in order to gather the information necessary for a complete picture of what an eclipse might mean. By major recent news, I am referring to events that have taken place within a time frame of one year or less for a given eclipse event. My standard approach is to use the date of an eclipse sighting as a center point, and then add or subtract six months from that date while searching for significant news events. When looking into the past and the investigative timeline becomes longer than one year, we can just categorize any major event as historical. It may seem minor, but just by making this distinction in your study of biblical astronomy, you will understand a lot of concepts that I think people tend to lose sight of rather easily.
Step 3: Searching the Scriptures
Once you have clearly understood the places of eclipse visibility together with patterns of history and recent news, then you can finally cross-examine the Bible in order to prayerfully comprehend the intended message. However, in order to use the Scriptures properly you have to use the three laws of interpretation, which I present in Bible Prophecy Secrets I. These are the:
✅ Law of First Mention,
✅ Law of Definitions,
✅ and the Law of Context.
After careful and methodical application, the Scriptures will become open to your understanding in a fresh and exciting way nearly every time you open them. You will gather deep discernment, and you will be able to tell when someone else is making baseless claims about an upcoming celestial event like an eclipse. You will be able to discern what is not real, and what is indeed from the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, the Scriptures can reveal something profound and life changing in direct connection to an eclipse event that otherwise would have remained hidden or greatly misunderstood. As you may already know, America’s triple eclipse omen offers this kind of transformative insight, which is why I wrote an entire book about it.
With that said, never forget that the Word of God gives us the truth, and the truth will make us free (John 8:32).
A Case Study: The Official Duration of the Covid-19 Pandemic
The Bible makes one thing abundantly clear: a man’s word is his bond. Numbers 30:2 is one of many places where this concept is solidified. Speaking of making a vow or an agreement between two (or more) parties, the Torah states:
“If a man makes a vow to the LORD, or swears an oath to bind himself by some agreement, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.” - Num 30:2
This is a universal law.
It has not been done away with, and it still stands. That is why when you carefully examine events—geopolitical or otherwise—it is important to pay attention to declarations that are made by high-ranking officials. In the eyes of God, when an authoritative word is spoken, it stands as a law. People, governments, and nations become bound by the words that they swear and that they declare to one another. And, let me tell you, this understanding is of major importance when trying to understand biblical prophecy. The year 2020 as a whole was special in this regard.
Although the year 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic now feels like a really bad dream that we all woke up from a while ago, most people are unaware of how this event was directly connected to the Bible. You may not remember this, but the WHO made their declaration of a global pandemic exactly on March 11, 2020. The Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said this in his official statement:
“There are now more than 118,000 cases in 114 countries, and 4,291 people have lost their lives. …WHO has been assessing this outbreak around the clock and we are deeply concerned both by the alarming levels of spread and severity, and by the alarming levels of inaction. We have therefore made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic. …WHO’s mandate is public health. But we’re working with many partners across all sectors to mitigate the social and economic consequences of this pandemic.”1 [emphasis added]
Of course, the word mandate is just a watered-down synonym for edict, command, decree, or law. This decree altered the course of human history, as the WHO’s “many partners” proceeded to shut down the entire world economy via the swift action of the western globalist pen stroke.
What the vast majority of people fail to realize is that Wednesday, March 11 of that year was not just any ordinary day.
I’ve written about this before in great detail in my first book, but that particular day was Passover, according to the new moon for that cycle and also accurate reports from the land of Israel that the barley was indeed abib and ready for the presentation of the one omer for wave sheaf day on Sunday, March 15th. I realize this may be more of an advanced topic if you are unaware of the biblical calendar presented in Leviticus 23, but just understand that the Hillel Calendar of Judaism and its date of April 8, 2020 for the beginning of Passover is erroneous. Rather than adhere to the instructions of the Bible, Judaism has been following their pre-calculated and artificial calendar since about AD 359. Rather than return to the instruction of the Bible that mandates an agricultural and sighted moon calendar, they have continued to uphold their man-made system full of numerous rules not found in the Torah.
What this means, then, is that March 11, 2020, being Passover, was not just any ordinary day on the timeline of human history.
It meant something much deeper.
There was more to the story.
Before talking more about the biblical significance of Covid-19, it is first necessary to look at the date that the pandemic was officially declared to be over, which was May 5, 2023. This was the day when the Director-General of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, once again briefed the media in Geneva but this time to officially declare an end to the Covid-19 public health emergency.2 Once again, this day was not just any ordinary day. Though it was not a biblical Holy Day, there was indeed a lunar eclipse that occurred exactly on May 5. The following figure shows what it looked like.
Figure 2: The Penumbral Lunar Eclipse of May 5, 2023. Image from Xavier M. Jubier.3
When you zoom into China and search where Wuhan is—the origin of the Covid-19 outbreak (according to the official narrative)—you will see that this location was nearly perfectly in the center of where this lunar eclipse appeared. In other words, Wuhan and even all of China was the primary recipient of this lunar eclipse. The location of Wuhan is more clearly demonstrated in the next figure where the white pop-up rectangle is pointing to.
Figure 3: Wuhan, China—the primary recipient of this lunar eclipse sign. Image from Xavier M. Jubier.4
So, what does this mean? What is the connection? What is the importance?
Well, it turns out that there is a specific prophecy in the Bible often referred to as the “2300 Days” of Daniel 8:14. Here’s what it says:
And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.” - Dan 8:14
It would take me quite of bit of time and effort to properly set up the context, but just understand that the word translated as “days” (or yom) is not actually found in the original Hebrew text. The literal reading of this verse is simply “two thousand three hundred evening-morning”.
It simply says ereb boker in Hebrew.
If you do the math and look at the duration from March 11, 2020 to May 5, 2023, you will find out that it is exactly 1150 days. When you multiply this number by two, you get 2300.
So, what Daniel did is intentionally leave out the word “day” in his prophecy because he was actually prophesying about the Covid-19 pandemic that would take place near the end of time, or the last days, that we are living in. He was telling us that there would be 1150 evenings and 1150 mornings—a total of 2300 ereb boker—which is the same thing as 1150 days.
This, once again, was a prophecy that was written in code on purpose, as I have described in great detail in Chapter 6 of Bible Prophecy Secrets I. In this particular case, the lunar eclipse on May 5, 2023 served as an additional witness from God that we were supposed to be diligently searching the Scriptures in order to understand that Covid-19 was a deeply significant event, foretold by Daniel the prophet with flawless accuracy and in an absolutely remarkable way.
